Hello everyone,
Here is a small update on what I’m currently working on.
Blender 2.8
Recently I started exploring Blender, which is a free and open source 3D creation program. I was used to be working in 3Ds Max but Blender feels much more intuitive to me.
I also invested in Jama Jurabaev Gumroad videos on Grease Pencil in Blender.
In short: grease pencil makes for a nice connection between 2D and 3D. In the example below I started with a sketch in Grease Pencil (leftmost small image), which is basically a 3d object. This allow me to rotate it around to snapshot different shots. Those shots I can take to Photoshop to sketch or render them out.
Still much to learn, I also started modelling one of the photo-bashes I did recently for class as a practice:
Here is a helmet first sketched out with Blender’s Grease Pencil and then transformed to a geometry mesh:
All the best,
Beautiful work!
Thank you for the visit Teddi!
